School to School Support

EborHope TSA are committed to improving the life chances and opportunities for all young people. Supporting other schools and colleagues is fundamental in sharing great practice and improving teaching, learning and outcomes.

We have a wealth of experience in supporting schools in a wide range of contexts, from bespoke local authority-commissioned, focused support to individual school packages.

EborHope Teaching Schools Alliance has a network of over 60 professionals accredited to work in school to school support. We recruit from academies that are part of Ebor Academy Trust, Hope Learning Trust, Woldgate Learning Partnership and elsewhere, as we believe in sharing best practice at every opportunity. Our support teams are made up of good and outstanding practitioners who are all trained and accredited to work in school to school support for EborHope Teaching Schools Alliance.

We believe we offer unrivalled quality in terms of individuals who are motivated and possess extensive professional knowledge. It’s vital to our model that all team members have proven track records in highly effective school improvement.

Being an SLE is a fantastic experience. It gives you the opportunity to support other schools on their improvement journey and transform the education of young people beyond your own classroom. It provides really excellent professional and career development as it allows you to hone your leadership skills and increase your experience through working with others in different contexts and, often, challenging circumstances.

Our Support Model

Our immersion model uses high-quality professionals who work alongside school staff to support and strengthen provision. Any partner that works for EborHope Teaching Schools Alliance is fully accredited and rooted in current practice.

A typical Primary model is a series of two-day immersive visits when practitioners will work side by side with teachers, TAs and leaders in schools to model, coach and share effective, proven practice.

As well as a project plan, we provide a ‘note of visit’ after each support visit. These are tightly focused and produced in conjunction with supported partners – they are fully invested in the process at every stage.

Our support is fully quality assured by project leads (either LLEs or NLEs) and the commissioning body (LA or MAT) – we have robust lines of accountability and seek out feedback at every stage of support to continually improve and develop our support programme.
