Our Alliance

EborHope Teaching Schools Alliance. Great teaching changes lives.

Hope Learning Trust, York, Ebor Academy Trust and Wolds Learning Partnership working collaboratively to support schools across Yorkshire.

At the heart of the EborHope Teaching Schools Alliance are two teaching schools – Manor Church of England Academy (Hope Learning Trust, York) and Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy (Ebor Academy Trust). Both schools are recognised by the National College as outstanding practitioners in teaching and learning but both also have key characteristics that make them unique. Ebor, Hope and Wolds are therefore able to offer a plethora of support in both primary and secondary settings. As MATs have developed, there has been a realisation that renewed and strengthened partnerships are the best way to support schools across the region.

Our Teaching Schools Alliance has three key aims:

  1. To develop the highest quality entrants into the teaching profession
  2. To provide high quality accredited leadership development and support, to empower teachers to have maximum impact on pupils
  3. To provide high quality school to school support and challenge that will transform provision so that all young people have a great education
As the CEO of Hope Learning Trust, I am delighted to continue to be involved in the development of the Teaching School. We need to work across phases, across types of schools and socio-economic areas. As we strive to transform schools and deliver quality education for all our young people we are more and more aware of the need to work together. Partnership is the only way we will develop quality provision. I am delighted to work with the Ebor Academy Trust and the Wolds Learning Partnership in becoming an agent for change.

Who we are

Hope Learning Trust

Hope Learning Trust, York is a growing multi-academy trust for both primary and secondary schools. Hope is a Church of England Trust established to bring together church and community schools. Our vision is really very simple.

We aspire to provide a place where children and young people can thrive. We want our schools to be places where children and young people thrive as active learners; compassionate, kind and creative individuals; caring and engaged citizens; and spiritual beings. We aim to grow together, to serve one another and nurture our children and young people.

Ebor Academy Trust

Ebor Academy Trust is a community and Church of England multi-academy trust comprising mainly primary schools in York, Selby, the East Riding and The Humber and on the Yorkshire Coast.

Ebor is a mixed trust, comprising good and better schools and schools receiving support. We work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes we can for our children and young people.

Wolds Learning Partnership

We believe, as a family of schools with shared values, that we can work together in partnership to provide the very best education for the children in our care. As a collection of community, church and village schools, we are passionate about being part of the communities we serve and wish to ensure our community schools not only survive in the future but continue to thrive. We believe it is important that we build upon our already strong links and seek together, in partnership, to support each other and to do the very best for our children and the communities we live and work within.
